Al-Rawani is one of the most popular traditional sweets in Yemen, characterized by its sweet palatable taste in all age groups, quickly and easily prepared, and its high nutritional value from the basic and necessary elements of the body, and its high caloric value that provides the body with energy and warmth, especially in the cold days.

How to prepare

  • Prepare the oven at 180 ° C.
  • Put eggs, sugar, vinegar, vanilla, oil and milk in the bowl of the electric mixer and mix them on medium speed smoothly.
  • Put the flour, semolina, and baking powder in another bowl and stir the ingredients, then add the mixture to the mixture in the electric mixer bowl, and mix the ingredients together at medium speed until you have a homogeneous and coherent cake mixture.
  • Grease the cake cake with an amount of oil and spread a small amount of semolina on its edges.
  • Put the cake tray in the oven and leave until the cake is soft.
  • Take the cake out of the oven and pour the cold drop onto its face until it is absorbed, then spread the coconut on its surface.

Rawani with orange or strawberry

  • Two and a half cups of hot water with half a cup of honey.

How to prepare
